: We booked two apartments, a One-Bedroom Apartment and a Luxury One-Bedroom Apartment ( which has a washing machine ). I was originally given an apartment without the washing machine, and it looked quite different from the photos but the operations manager Mr Franscesco was quick to give me the correct one when I pointed it out to him that I didn't get the apartment that I had booked. The location is quite close to the train station and it is walkable to the Grand Place with its many restaurants and other shops. There are also a few small supermarkets in the vicinity.
: As in many old buildings, the lift is very small and the staircase is narrow, winding and very steep. The entrance foyer is small and the reception office is on the first floor which can only accommodate one customer at a time. The operations manager could have been friendlier. He took Euro 200 from my credit card as damage deposit and assured me that the sum will be fully refunded after we check out. He told me that the kitchen must be cleaned before check-out and it was not his job to get it cleaned. He didn't leave me with a good impression, especially after I later discovered that he gave me the wrong apartment. Upon inspection by a lady housekeeper on the day we checked out, I reminded Mr Franscesco about the refund of the deposit and whether he needed my credit card again and he said that the credit card was not needed for the refund. To-date, more than 2 weeks after I left Brussels, I still have not received my refund. Overall, I would say that I am disappointed with my stay in this apartment. Though furnished, it looked old and worn-out and there was no dryer or even a drying rack, so we had to resort to using hangars to hang the washed clothes anywhere we could. The staff were dour and unwelcoming. It is really not an experience that I would care to repeat.
